
Wat Tham Phra That Charoen Tham is also called “Tham Phra That Bo Pla,” or "Bo Pla Cave." It is in Tambon Song Khon, Amphoe Kaeng Khoi, about 22 kilometres from Amphoe Muang.
Within the cave are two large chambers almost one hundred metres deep, adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, a thousand years of curtains created by nature.
The first hall is called Tham Thong Phra Rong, with a large Buddha image in the Man Wichai posture of the Rattanakosin period located in its centre. There are also many smaller Buddha images ensconced in cave corners. There is a narrow walkway to the second hall that is quite spacious and In the middle of this chamber a replica of Lord Buddha’s footprint.
