Phra Phutthachai

From the legend of Lord Buddha and the Buddhist miracles

Wat Phra Phutthachai is the temple where you can pay homage to "Lord Buddha’s Right Footprint" and what is believed to be the shadow of Lord Buddha imprinted on a nearby cliff face.

Visitors can also get an excellent view of the surrounding countryside from a vantage point at the top of the temple steps, there is convenient car parking so this is not a strenuous climb. After visiting Wat Phra Phuttachai continue on to Wat Phra Phutta Bat to pay homage to "Buddha's Left Footprint".

Getting There:

Located 16 kilometres south of the town along the Bangkok-Saraburi route Highway No. 1 (Mittraphap Road), it is accessible by routes along Km. 102 or Km. 104. The National Park can also be reached by taking the bus to Saraburi town, and then renting a van or a local truck to the park.
