Climbing and Abseiling
Pra Phutthabat Noi Limestone Mountain:
Ban Tung Sang Amphoe Kaeng Khoi

If your spirits need a lift and your senses need some stimulation come to Pra Phutthabat Noi and defy gravity. Saraburi now offers a rock climbing site at the 5 to 6A difficulty level.
The mountain is not too high so inexperienced climbers are catered for and there are capable assistants to ensure your complete safety.
Once you overcome the challenge to reach the top, reward yourself with the clean fresh air and the magnificent vista of fields as far as the eye can see.

The green volcanic plains below will gradually change to a bright golden color when fields of sunflowers bloom between October and February.
After your victory over the dizzying heights, try to catch a glimpse of the Limestone Wren Babbler bird at Wat Tham Phra That Charoen Tham or Wat Phra Phutthabat Noi nearby. The Limestone Wren Babbler is so rare that this is the only place in the world you will find it, but go quietly, these rare birds are easily startled. The mountain is also the habitat of a newly discovered species; the Tham Mong Nathi Kradan insect. This bright pink insect is another rare species that prospers in this area.

Bouldering
Pra Phutthachai
Maung District, Saraburi Province

Saraburi is one of many provinces that has outstanding venues for cliff and boulder climbing. The Phra Phutthachai area is considered the best in Thailand and it offers many different climbing routes.

Wat Phra Phutthachai has long been a tourist spot and is located on a mountain almost inaccesible by cliffs. The preferred access trail follows the cliff on the eastern side of the temple.
Most of the climb areas have large round rocks 4 to10 metres high with some some forested areas. There are a few high cliffs up to 35 metres that can be ascended with rope. On every route, there are no permanent anchor spots, so many of them are highly suitable for bouldering. In total there are as many as 50 routes. The routes most challenging to novice climbers are the ones suitable for top rope. The area near the upper parking lot has a difficulty level of 5 and may be up to 40 meters high, this is especially good for new climbers.

Whether abseiling or climbing you will be treated to the beautiful scenery of the Pasak river valley, as well as a panoramic view of Saraburi Province. It must be said that although the routes are not overly difficult, it does take a fair amount of determination as they are all quite high. Every climber is guaranteed a memorable time and a unique closeness to nature.
